OPIS: :Film opowiada o zdarzeniach, do których doszło 29.12.1890 roku nad potokiem Wounded Knee w Południowej Dakocie. Wówczas to 7. pułk amerykańskiej kawalerii zaatakował Indian z plemienia Lakota. Twórcy filmu ukazują okoliczności masakry z perspektywy trzech bohaterów. Jednym z nich jest młody Indianin, opowiadający się za kompromisem między zwaśnionymi stronami. Drugim indiański wódz, który nie zgodził się na poniżające warunki rozejmu. Trzeci punkt widzenia reprezentuje senator Dawes, odpowiedzialny za kreowanie polityki rządu wobec Indian.
